Took my bike out to Riverhead yesterday to check out what the West Coast Riders Club have been up to in their block of forest.
While I waited for Kerry I rode a loop that involved descending on ‘Dodgys’ trail, which disappeared completely over near the western boundary, forcing me to push my bike several hundred metres up to the road.
Kerry and I were both unimpressed by the XC Loop, but as we headed to the exit he convinced me to explore the ‘Proposed new trails to the east. By the time we reached the top of the hill, we both knew we had found our new favourite downhill.
